Well - This is my first blog - I have a few friends who do this and I love reading their posts and about their families. I suppose it's a nice escape for me. I guess I enjoy seeing that there are other "normal" people out there and they have struggles too in daily life....not that I enjoy seeing people struggle - but that not everyone is an over-achieving, perfect life ~ mom ~ who manages to cook, clean, have perfect children....etc.... I don't think I'll ever be that person; but I suppose I can always aim high...right?Today was Christmas Sunday - I actually had all my teacher gifts wrapped and ready to go on Thursday...see...who says I can't be an over-achiever!?!? ") but instead of letting it go and actually get to church on time - I decided that I should whip up some "puppy chow" to put in the gift bags and some yummy butter brickle that I manage to make myself sick eating sooo much!
Sometimes I really think I have brain damage ...I really thought I could do this and get 6 people ready for church and make it on time. Seriously. Needless to say we were a full 15 minutes late.
I'm excited that tonight is our children's Christmas Play! Tyler is playing Joseph ~ which if you know Tyler is sorta funny - cause he still very much anti-girl - so I can tell he is a little "uncomfortable" that he is up there with "girl" aka Mary! Cameron is a Shepard who is supposed to be herding Karson - the sheep. That will probably be the most interesting.
Well - that is enough ramblings for the day - better get ready so we're not late!
YEAH! You finally blogged! And I love the story! How did the play turn out? Cameron had to 'heard' Karson?!!? I'm already loving it! OK, call me in the am!
ReplyDeleteHey, I found you! The boys did a great job in the play! And the puppy chow is awesome. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYeah!! Welcome to the crazy world of blogging...you're going to love it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be so much fun to get to know you better this way. Merry Christmas!

Welcome to blogger Jessica! I finally got around to checking your blog and enjoyed meeting your children! Don't worry about keeping up with the blog-queens out there. Even if it gets to be a couple weeks or more between posts we will still enjoy them none the less.
ReplyDeleteAs for being the perfect mom, I haven't met any. Even when people look like they have it all together they have issues enough. Children are God's way of keeping us Totally Dependant on Him!!!
